Francesca Lombardi Mazzulli
Sopran
Francesca Lombardi has
studied at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan where she brilliantly earned the voice
degree. Selected as a student by Luciano Pavarotti Francesca has recently won
the selection at the vocal Academy for singers in Vignola where she is actually
enhancing her repertoire and her technique with Mirella Freni. She is also studying with Alessandra Molinari
and baroque music technique with Sonia Prina in Amsterdam.
By 2005 she had begun
performing recitals, concerts and operas with a special interest in Baroque
repertoire confirmed by winning the second prize at the baroque singing
competition organized by the Centro di Musica Antica Pietà de' Turchini in
Neaples. Among her most important engagements,
Francesca has been the title role in the opera
Rosinda by F. Cavalli with Mike Fentross, in Potsdam (Germany), in
Vantaa (Finland), and Bayreuth (Germany). Under the conduction of Ottavio Dantone she
has been Aquilio in the “Adriano in Siria” by G.B.Pergolesi, at the Pergolesi
Spontini Festival, she has been Cami in “La Betulia Liberata” by W. A. Mozart,
and Pallade and Venere in “L’incoronazione di Poppea” by C. Monteverdi, performed in many important north Italian
theatres. Since 2005 she has been
singing with the ensemble Accademia Bizantina, conducted by Ottavio Dantone,
with which she has sung as soloist at the “Le Feste di Apollo” festival in
Parma, at the “Creator Musica Sacra” festival in Faenza, at the “Ravenna
Festival” in Ravenna, at the “Pergolesi Spontini Festival” of Jesi, at the
International festival of baroque music of Beaune and at the Bremen
MusikFestival in Germany.
Francesca sings as a
soloist with the Limoges baroque ensemble, conducted by Christophe Coin with
whom she made her debut at Limoges and Villenoev sur Lot baroque festivals.
With the Belgian baroque ensemble b’rock she is performing recitals and
concerts in Belgium and in the Netherlands, singing also at the MAfestival in
Bruges. With the same ensemble Francesca will debut at the Muziekgebow in
Amsterdam. In 2009 Francesca made her
debut at Teatro Rossini in Pesaro, playing the role of Eurilla in Vivaldi’s
Opera “Serenata a tre”. She also debut the role of Semele in the same titled
opera by G.F.Haendel at the Teatro Sociale in Lugo (BO). As a soloist Francesca has
sung at the “Europäische Kirchenmusik Festival” in Schwaebish Gmuend (Germany)
and at the “In Scena” festival in Padova, at “Le Feste di Apollo” festival in
Parma, at the “Roma Baroque Festival”. Despite her young age, Francesca debout
as a soloist in the big teathres of the “Circuito Teatrale Lombardo”, at the
Dal Verme theatre in Milano, at the Donizzetti Theatre in Bergamo and at the Rossini Theatre in Pesaro. Francesca has been Susanna
in Le Nozze di Figaro by W. A. Mozart conducted by Mr. A. Cadario, in Milano
and Switzerland, as Understudy she has been Sandrina in “La finta Giardiniera”
by W. A. Mozart and the title role in “L’ipermestra” by F. Cavalli.
Francesca will be again on
the stage of the Pergolesi Theatre under the conduction on Ottavio Dantone, she
will debut in Hannover, Montpellier and Kracow with “la venexiana” under the
conduction of Claudio Cavina and with the ensemble Pietà dei Turchini conducted
by Alessandro Ciccolini at the Rossini Theatre in Pesaro. She will also debut
at the Macerata festival with Marco Mencoboni.
